First half nearly done...

I can't believe it, but my first ten weeks of Student Teaching end tomorrow. I've been at my school since January. I feel like I just got there. My students are awesome. They work hard and I've gotten some great opportunities to figure out my teaching style. I've loved it. I'm sad to leave!!!

We're working out the living situations. I was totally that kid who needs a house sans pets because I'm so allergic. Leave it to me to be the "high maintenance" teacher. Figures.

Just as I'm getting ready to leave Madison, the snow is melting, sun is returning, and I actually heard birds again today. Of course, Madison starts turning back into what I love just as I'm mentally preparing to leave my home of the last four and a half years. Again, figures.

But I'm ready to move to the next part of my life. I've gotten all that I think Madison can give me for now. But man, has it been great. I'll be a Badger in my <3 for the rest of my life.

The elementary school must assume as its sublime and most solemn responsibility the task of teaching every child in it to read. Any school that does not accomplish this has failed. --William Bennett
